❥Charles is as awkward as awkward can get, though to some it can be seen as endearing or maybe even cute. Throughout his childhood and preteen days, he's always been focused on his family and studies, so he never had much time for dating or even many friendships outside of his family.
❥As such, he doesn't have the best social skills, having only ever been exposed to a very small amount of people. His charm comes instead from his steady confidence. He's not cocky or anything. God, anything but, Charles is simply in tune with himself. Many restless nights are spent with just him and his lonely thoughts, so you could say he and his mind has become quite great friends over the years.
❥He understands himself very well, to the point it's almost unnerving. He rarely ever second guesses himself, and is generally not the type to get angry. He has a very clear idea of what he wants for himself and what would hurt him, so he knows when to keep pushing and when to back down before he gets hurt.
❥He's generally very sweet, and is the type to be sweet without even realizing it. It's his default, the way others set sarcasm or insults as their default. Charles genuinely emphasizes with others, and while sometimes he might feel pity for them, he doesn't like to look down on anyone. He's easily flustered by romantic and sexual gestures, being really really new to these types of things.
❥True to his curse, Charles can be seen as someone very flighty. His head is constantly in the clouds and he's easily distracted or lost in thought. Anything that is constricting or grounding scares him; the selection scares him, but he was willing to put himself out there more.

❥Flying; he's decently good at it, and it's really calming for him being that high up.
❥His family; they all treat him well and take care of him, though they love teasing him because he makes it so easy.
❥People watching; he feels like he could become better at socializing this way.
❥Stationery; he's kind of a nerd for this kind of thing. He likes collecting pretty pens, notebooks, crayons and water colors even though he doesn't write or draw that much.
❥Love; he's a huge hopeless romantic and often fantasizes about having an exciting and heart pounding romance. Maybe his dream could come true soon.
❥The Sky; he could spend hours just watching clouds pass by. His favorite time of day is early morning.
❥Darts; he's been good at accuracy since he was really young and can wield a bow just as easily. He doesn't like the feeling of a weapon in his hands, so he opted for playing darts.

❥Being teased; while it's fine every once and a while, it gets super aggravating to have people constantly point out your mistakes.

❥Getting stuck in trees; it happens more times than you can think, and he doesn't know how to get down from them.
❥Socializing; especially when he isn't sure what to say, he just turns into a stuttering mess.
《strengths》
❥He's exceptionally good at flying, even for the people in his family. It's kind of like swimming except a bit more uncontrollable.
❥It's surprisingly effective to whack/kick people with his weighted shoes, since he has gained some muscles from hauling them around everywhere, though he sometimes crashes into people when he's flying with them.
❥Punching him is kind of like trying to punch a balloon, it just doesn't work. Yes he feels pain from the impact but he kind of just bounces back so a lot of the force gets absorbed. (The same theory is why turning your head when someone slaps you makes it less painful)
《weaknesses》
❥Whenever there's strong winds, he gets blown away. He can try to aim for a tree so he doesn't end up spiraling ten miles away, but that isn't very fun either.
❥He doesn't have the best pain tolerance, and has always been more sickly than the rest.
❥His cinnamon allergy is really intense. Like, he can die from it sort of intense. Luckily, cinnamon only comes in small amounts so he probably won't die.
❥He literally can't go anywhere without his weighted shoes, and it's a huge hassle to get the right weights (he has specific ones for flying and some for walking).
❥They're also kind of expensive to make so he feels really guilty whenever he breaks one. Thankfully, he's never forgotten them when he goes outside.
《flaws》
❥He's really socially awkward, to the point that it becomes unbearable to stay in a conversation with him sometimes.
❥He also gets distracted really easily, especially if he isn't comfortable with you. It's like he's looking for a way to escape the conversation and it's kind of really obvious.
❥He's a terrible liar because he's basically an open book.
《fears》
❥He's had nightmares of accidentally forgetting his shoes and just flying higher and higher into the atmosphere. That's mostly the only reason why he's never forgotten them when going outside. He triple checks that they're on before leaving and has panic attacks if he goes too high up.
❥He doesn't know what he would do if he lost his mother or grandmother, since they're his closest confidants and the people that he trusts with his entire world.
《backstory》
❥Charles' parents had been high school sweet hearts and had him relatively young, around their mid twenties or so. While he was unexpected, his parents loved him all the same.
❥His mother completely doted on Charles, as she was the one who passed the curse down to him and, in a sense, felt terrible that he had to be burdened with it. The two often bonded through their love of the sky.
❥When it comes to who raised Charles, though, his grandmother definitely took care of him the most. His parents were inexperienced and often busy, so his grandmother took it upon herself as the matriarch of his family to raise him right.
❥She was extremely strict, but Charles knew that she cared for him. His fondest memory was of her taking care of him when he got sick despite everyone's protests that her immune system had begun to worsen as she aged.
❥He was homeschooled for all his life as his parents deemed it too unsafe for him to go to school with his condition. While he's never really cared much for it, he wishes that he could've went to a proper one just so he wouldn't be as socially awkward.
